On the study of the principle characteristics of “knowledge—the special resource”,the paper points out that knowledge has become key element of development and knowledge economy has made the traditional imdustry become intellectual industry.The author thinks that the Chinese coal industry still has the comparing advantage on resource gift.Facing the challenging of knowledge economy,the coal enterprises should become the main body to set up knowledge innovating system.
