Ding Wen-jiang traveled Guizhou in 1911. In his travel note ＂my first trip in the hinterland＂ records of his trip in Guizhou. The unique climate, topography, transportation, economic, ethnic customs of Guizhou＇s left him a very deep impression. The impression affected his later work. His account and research on Guizhou before the centuries give us a valuable asset.
