The excitation system of Xiangshuijian pumped storage power station was used as study object, the application condition of the main circuit equipment of the excitation system and excitation regulator were introduced in details. the operation state of the excitation regulator during normal work was described, the problems in the application of the excitation system were pointed out, countermeasures analysis was conducted with pertinence, recommendations for improvement were improved, thereby providing a reference for the application of domestic excitation device in pumped storage power station.
