根据明喻的定义,找出了《儒林外史》中的所有明喻,并根据对应的翻译策略将这些明喻进行分类和统计,最后得出在明喻翻译中直译是主要的翻译策略,其次是解释和转义。根据这些统计的结果分析译者使用这些翻译策略的原因,期望能给以后的明喻翻译起到一定的指导作用。

This paper finds out all of the similes in The Scholars according to the definition of simile,and classifies this similes according to the definitions of translation strategies,at last,we get that ＂Literal Translation＂ is the main stragegy,and then is ＂Paraphrase＂ an d ＂Transformation＂.Based on the datas and results,the paper the paper tries to find out the reasons that the translator uses the strategies,so that it can give some guidance to simile translation.
