从“中国英语”在学生中的认同度看英语专业学生之语音发展趋向 被引量:1

The Developmental Trend of English Majors' Pronunciation-A Perspective from Students' Identification with "Chinese English"

摘要 在特定历史条件下,英语变体的存在已经是不争的事实。文章依托前贤的理论研究,旨在结合实证调研,折射出在以英国英语和美国英语为主流的教育大环境下,英语专业本科学生的语音趋向。数据显示,英语专业本科学生的语音现状,客观上受英国英语主导,主观上青睐美国英语的倾向明显,有承认自己的发音是中国式的,但没有人愿意使用“中国英语”这个标签。文章建议,语音教育在加强学生对英语变体知识了解的同时,也要帮助学生在就业中专业起来。 It is beyond dispute that there exist different varieties of English under the specific historical circumstances. Based on some scholars' theoretical research, this paper is mainly an experimental research, aiming to shed light on English ma- jors' trend in pronunciation where British English and American English are the mainstream varieties in English education. Sta- tistics show that subjectively British English dominates English majors' present pronunciation while students' objective prefer- ence to American English manifests its increasing tendency. On the other hand, despite of the fact that they acknowledge the use of "Chinese English" in practice the majority of the students are not willing to use "Chinese English". It is suggested that apart from further imparting the knowledge of varieties of English to students, phonetic teaching should contribute to their specialism in obtaining employment.
