Interaction between Chinese Lexicon and English Lexicon under the Cross-cultural Lens

本文采用跨文化的视角审视成人EFL学习者英文单词组织的建构,认为中文单词组织是英文单词组织建构的一个重要因素,理解中英文单词组织的互动可以帮助学习者提升英文单词组织的质量。文章提出跨文化视角下成人EFL中英文单词组织互动的认知框架,并给出学习者和教师应用认知框架的方法。

The paper examines the development of adult EFL learners' English lexicon from a cross-cultural perspective.It is argued that Chinese lexicon should be viewed as a benign and productive force in the construction of the English lexicon.A framework that demonstrates the interaction between the two lexicons is proposed.Besides,a method of putting the framework in practice is introduced.
