The industrial test on the application of 300mm×1000mm drum high intensity permanent magetic separator in the beneficiation of -12+5mm hematite ore in Gushan Iron Mine has shown that not only can the concentrate weight percent and quality similar to that achieved by trapezoidal jig used in production now be achieved,but also tailings that have a lower grade than that of the jig can be discarded.The machine is characterised by simple structure,convenient operation,high efficiency and energy saving.An annual added benefit can be expected to over 1.8 million Yuan.It will provide a new way to the beneficiation of coarse and medium-sized oxide iron ore.
