THE ANCIENT COVERED BRIDGES OF PING NAN

我不建筑．却不知怎的多年迷恋古廊桥、古树落，曾在浙南、阔北、滇西、湘西北、鄂西到处寻访，拍摄过60多座木掏古廊桥．那一座座凝聚了吉代嘶匠智慧的廊桥．横跨溪涧深咎．仪志万方如—遣渣彩虹眭接着古道与瀚，f々递着古老文化和丰厚民俗．寄托着偏远乡民对天堑变i＆遗的美好向往．令人万般难。但近十年来耽于公务，缓少独自专洼的行走了。

A craftsman during the Qing Dynasty, Zhou Liang wrote, 'The bridges of central Min [present-day Fujian] are the most beautiful, everywhere covered by impeccable roofs and worthy of being painted.' In fact, these bridges have long inspired China’s literati and architectural traces embellish poetic descriptions of Qitou Village, 'Of the ten I chanced upon, nine were young scholars and the sound of recitation filled thealleys; There is fresh tea for guests in every room, where light conversation evokes the Jin'. Several centuries later, Zhou Liang’s Qiu Qin to wandered the back roads of Ping Nan County, where she photographed these evocative covered bridges that still call to mind ancient landscapes and classical lives.
