县级医院服务着9亿多县级居民，占全国居民总数的70％以上。通过改革发展县级医院来改善长期薄弱的农村基层医疗卫生服务，可以使县级群众，特别是农民，切实享受到医疗卫生事业发展所带来的实惠。

Primary hospitals serve for more than 9000-millionpopulation, which accou nts for about 70% of the total population in China.Therefore, primary hospital reform could improve the healthcare delivery in rural area, and about two thirds of Chinese population would enjoy the benefits of health reform. At present, more than 600 primary hospitals in 19 provinces have began the attempt of comprehensive primary hospital reform.From the relevant document in Zhejiang province Shanxi province,Jiangsu province,Shandong province and a dozen other province, it is expected that primary hospital reform will roll out in large scale in China.
