从文化互动看中日同形词“银行”的生成

Cultural Interaction and the Emergence of the Chinese and Japanese Homograph Yinhang

中日间的大量汉字同形词源于两国间的语言文化交流,而近代中日间的语言交流是双向型的。通过对文献语料的发掘,判明汉语原有的"银行"一词在西学东渐过程中受外来因素的影响,词义发生了转换:其作为新语词首先被输出到日语中,并很快被明治维新后的日本接受和使用,19世纪末又通过文化互动回归到汉语中来。

Most Chinese and Japanese homographs in the form of Chinese characters stem from the cultural or linguistic communication between the two countries.The communication has become a two-way process in modern times.Through the exploration of documents and analysis of corpora,this paper ascertains that the word meaning of yinhang in Chinese was historically influenced by the trend of introducing Western learning to the East.Originally brought into Japanese from Chinese,yinhang was accepted and used by the Japanese people after the Meiji Reformation.However,the word together with its acquired meaning from Japanese returned to Chinese through cultural interactions towards the end of the 19th century.
