Laozi Philosophical Aesthetics have a profound impact on Chinese classical poetry, music, painting and calligraphy, especially on the formation and development of Chinese literati＇s calligraphy and painting art. This paper mainly discusses the impact of Laozi＇s theory on Chinese calligraphy and painting art, including the impact of ＂Taoism follows the nature＂ on literati＇s view of world, the impact of ＂zi ran （nature） and wu wei （action through non-action）＂ on literati＇s character, the impact of ＂interpro- rooting relationship between the real and the unreal＂ and ＂know and observe all but stay obscure＂ on calli- graphy and painting art, and the impact of ＂cleanse and purify mystic vision＂ on calliigraphy and painting appreciation.
