宏观调控是国家对经济干预的一个方面。国家干预还包括国家对一定的生产关系和生产方式、经济体制的干预和国家对微观经济、对个别行业、部门的干预。这三类国家经济职能中 ,只有宏观调控才是现代经济所特有的。把宏观调控和一般国家干预区别开来 ,对于一个长期习惯于国家控制一切经济领域的社会来说 。

Macroeconomic regulation is one of the means the state uses for economic intervention. State intervention also includes intervention of the state in certain production relations, modes of production and economic structures and its intervention in the microeconomy, specific industries and sectors. Among the three categories of state economic functions, only macroeconomic regulation is characteristic of the modern econemy. Therefore, for a society long accustomed to the state controlling all fields of economy, it carries great significance to distinguish it from the other state interventions.
