A Critical Analysis of the Issue of Socialist Labour as a Commodity

关于社会主义公有制经济中的劳动力是否商品的问题 ,我国理论界已争论了近 2 0年了 ,但意见并未统一 ,依然有不少同志持与“劳动力商品论”相反的见解。本文认为 ,要弄清楚社会主义公有制经济中劳动力是否商品的问题 ,应首先弄清两个问题 :一是“劳动力商品论”的理论和事实根据能否成立 ?二是宣传“劳动力商品论”有无理论意义和实际意义。

For nearly 20 years it has been a controversial issue in the Chinese theoretical circles about whether lobour in the economy of socialist public ownership is a commodity. Yet no agreement has been reached. A number of comrades hold opinions contrary to the 'lobour-as-a-commodity' view.The author proposes that in order to understand whether labour in the economy of socialist public ownership is a commodity or not, it is essential to clarify two questions first: Do the theory and factual grounds of 'the theory of labour as a commodity' hold water? And does it have any theoretical and practical significance to advocate 'the theory of labour as a commodity'? The author has always had a negating opinion on the two questions.
