摘要
此项研究从"他者"的认知——《纽约时报》有关"5·12"汶川地震的报道切入,通过统计其报道数量和议题分布,得出"倒塌校舍及背后的腐败问题"、"灾后救援"、"人权问题"、"灾后重建"为"他者"所关注的四大焦点性议题,并以此为纲,比照中国政府在汶川地震危机公关中的作为,从官方回应的可信度,践行承诺的确定性、调查结果的公正性等角度提出完善政府危机公关的策略。
Based on content analysis of New York Times reports on Wenchuan earthquake,the research discovers that 'reasons for the collapse of schoolhouse','disaster relief','human right' and'post disaster reconstruction'are top issues of this crisis report.Taking this agenda as the focus of others’perception,the writer makes cross examination of Chinese government performance in this crisis management,and explores the success and the failure of government behavior in crisis communication.The conclusion is that although there exist some biased reports by New York Times,more improvement on the technique of Chinese government crisis communication should be addressed.Therefore,such techniques as credibility of official response,certainty of fulfilling promise,fairness on official investigation are put forward to better government performance in crisis communication.
