On Ideal Composition Mode for The Images of The Western Pure Land Bian Preserved in Mogao Caves in Dunhuang during The Mid-Tang Dynasty

摘要 本文以敦煌中唐晚期成熟的西方净土变作为历史纵轴上的切片样本,利用中国古代画论当中体现出的视学理论,分析西方净土空间的构成模型及纵深空间的表达方式,并提出"视阶"概念来观察、解读中古时代画师对于不断延伸的纵深空间的处理方法,分析其所蕴含的宗教寓意。 Taking the mature images of Western Pure Land Bian of the middle-late Tang dynasty as a sample of the diachronic series,this thesis analyzes the composition mode for the images of this kind depicting the western pure land space as well as the ways of expression in depth space on the basis of 'Perspective Theory' included in Chinese ancient painting theory.It also puts forward a new concept of 'Shi Jie' which means literally 'visual steps' to observe and interpret the craftsmanship that the medieval Chinese artists used in drawing the far-reaching deep space and the religious implication they put through it.
