Expression and clinical significance of cell cycle regulators in relapsing nasopharyngeal carcinoma

摘要 目的通过对68例鼻咽癌复发患者癌组织中细胞周期调节蛋白水平的检测,进行鼻咽癌复发的趋势预测和探讨可能的机制。方法采取免疫组织化学法对所有研究对象的组织标本进行p53、MDM2、p21WAF1、p21ras、VEGF的检测。结果 68例患者平均复发间期为(31.65±24.52)月。未发现不同分期的复发间期差异有统计学意义(P=0.361)。单因素分析发现高表达的MDM2水平会缩短复发间期(P=0.016)。多因素分析显示年龄(≥50岁)、高表达MDM2和低表达或阴性p21WAF1是复发间期的影响因素。结论年龄较大、高表达MDM2、低表达或阴性p21WAF1的鼻咽癌患者易较早出现复发。 Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of cycle dependent kinase in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Methods The expression of p53,MDM2,p21WAn,p21^ras,VEGF protein in 68 specimens of nasopharyngeal carcinoma was examined by immunohistochemistry. Results The average relapse-interval of the 68 patients was (31.65± 24.52) months. No significant difference of relapse-interval in clinical stage was found (P=0.361). Univariate analysis suggested that the patients with high-expression of MDM2 protein had a shorter relapse-interval than the control group (P=0.016). Multivariate analysis indicated that age, MDM2 or p21war' were the independent relapse predictors. Conclusion Old age, the high-expression of MDM2 and the low or negative-expression of p21wsn might further accelerate the process of relapse.
