To change this condition, the river regime information system with the functions of river regime analysis and management is developed through plenty of prac- tices and studies, and by using the advanced means of investigation such as GPS - RTK and all - digital echo sounder, together with VB. NET, ActiveX, and other programming techniques. The system has been applied in river regime analysis and management of Shagang Group reach of the Yangtze River. The composition of the system and practical application are introduced.
