作为都市文化中极富生命力的一个重要组成部分,以教化为主题的中国早期都市流行歌曲一方面真实反映社会现实,另一方面也必然反作用于现实,凭借其音乐艺术的魅力来影响和改造现实生活。中国早期都市流行歌曲叙事中的教化主题至少可呈现为道德劝善类、思想启蒙类和意识激发类三种表现形式;歌曲叙事中的教化主题产生原因一方面受到音乐教化功能传统性之影响,另一方面源于时代所赋予的特殊性;其社会功能是通过摸索出隐匿于社会表层下的民众那尚未觉醒、朦胧模糊的爱国热情,唤醒民众内心深处那股如雄狮般的革命力量,并最终引发社会"轰动效应"。

Bildung theme in the early urban popular songs＇ narrative is manifested in at least three forms, namely, moral justice, enlightenment and awareness stimulation. Its social functions are fulfilled by exploring the hazy public patriotism concealed under the surface of people, arousing their revolutionary force deep inside, and thus lead to its ＂sensational social effect＂.
