An Analysis about Protection and Renewal in the Historical Districts of Fengqiao Ancient Town

枫桥古镇历史悠久,文化内涵丰富,具有典型的江南古镇特色。历史街区是枫桥古镇文化和历史传承的缩影,但目前呈现出传统风貌消退、历史建筑物老化、街区功能衰退、交通组织混乱、基础设施落后和人口老龄化等一系列问题。在明确历史街区保护与更新的辩证关系和原则的基础上,借鉴历史街区成功保护案例揭示的经验,深入探讨历史街区有机更新的目标、内容和实施策略,以实现历史街区经济复兴、社会复兴和人文复兴。

With the typical characteristics of historical towns in the southern Changjiang delta,Fengqiao ancient town has a long history and rich cultural connotation.The historic district is a microcosm of cultural and historical heritage of Fengqiao,but now shows the problems such as the decaying traditional style and historical buildings,the declining district functions,the disorganized traffic,the poor infrastructure and the aging of population,and etc.Learning from the successful experiences and basing on the principles of protection and renewal,the goals,contents and execution strategies of organic renewal in historical districts,for the recovery of economy,society,and culture,were discussed.
