An Exploration on the “New Middle Class”

现今西方社会的"新中间阶级"主要指称从事专业技术和管理工作的劳动者。新中间阶级不是一个阶级而是一个阶层的概念,因为它不是基于资本主义生产关系的利益集团划分,而是基于工作性质和财富收入的社会结构分层即类似于中产阶级的提法,其主体展示了工人阶级的当代发展。但在现实中不能无视因阶级结构的变化所带来的阶级分化问题,因此根据这一新的社会分层,制定出既有利于各阶层的工人阶级团结,又能发挥各自特殊作用的社会主义政治策略。

The ＂new middle class＂ in current western society mainly refers to those who are engaged in profes- sional and technical and management jobs. New middle class is not a class but a class concept because it is not in- terest group division based on the capitalist relations of production but the social hierarchical structure based on the nature of work and income. As the middle-class formulation, it mainly shows contemporary development of the work- ing-class. In reality, we should not ignore the change of class structure brought about by the class differentiation. According to this new social stratification we can make socialist political strategy for all sectors of the working class so that they may unite and at the same time play their own special roles.
