In order to monitor and manage the lubrication of fully mechanized coal mining equipments, Shendong coal group introduced the oil monitoring technology and system. Oil monitoring technology and system have greatly decreased the breakdown probability and improve the safety of mining equipments. This paper briefly introduced the application of oil monitoring in fully mechanized coal mining equipment monitoring and fault diagnosis. Meanwhile, this paper concluded the importance, contribution and the future development of oil monitoring.
