A Commentation to an All-Round Painter Prof.Xin Kejing

辛克靖先生全面系统地接受过美术教育,基本功扎实,是一位学院派画家。他在文革期间被下放到土家族地区,在那里工作了二十多年,足迹遍布鄂西,对土家族的自然环境、民风土俗建立了深厚的感情,特别热爱土家建筑与鄂西山水之结合,做了大量的搜集工作,并以其妙笔造就了独具一格的画作。晚年他更走遍全国,扩大了眼界,作品更趋成熟、多样,成为一位精通中国画院十三科的画家。

Prof.Xin Kejing enjoys a complete and systematic education of fine arts,and has extensive basic skills.He is really an academic artist.He was sent to the countryside of Tujia during the Cultural Revolution and worked there more than 20 years.His foot prints therefore spread all over West Hubei. He cherished a deep affection for the natural environment and folk custom,especially the combination between Tujia architecture and the scenic splendours.He had made quite a large painting source collection,and achieved to make his artistic works with individuality with his painting brushes.In his old age,Prof.Xin traveled all over China and broadened his outlook,so that his works became more matured and various,and he established himself an artist proficient in each branch of the Thirteen Departments in the Academy of Chinese Classic Arts.
