Sixty Years of Education in Architecture and Urban Planning at Tongji Interviews with Deans/Department Heads of the College of Architecture & Urban Planning of Tongji University

文章采访了同济大学建筑与城市规划学院11位历任院长(系主任),以其任职期间的时代背景与教育理念、学院的重大教学措施与实施效果、以及所发生事件的影响,呈现了学院从初创积累、调整充实到快速发展的过程,以及历任院长(系主任)对学院自身和整体学科发展的贡献。

This article is based on interviews with eleven former Deans/Department Heads of the College of Architecture ＆ Urban Planning of Tongji University throughout the six decades of the history of CAUP. The article reveals the contemporary background and educational thinking of each of them, their key educational policies and results of implementation, as well as key events during their tenure. It aims to showcase the developing process of CAUP from its foundation, adaptation and flourish to the present stage of rapid and pluralistic development, as well as its contributions to the College itself and the disciplines as a whole at large.
