摘要
三值逻辑是20世纪20年代以来发展起来的一种非经典逻辑系统,蒯因对其持批评的态度。蒯因反对三值逻辑的原因有三:一是有些三值逻辑系统建立在错误认识之上;二是有些三值逻辑所关注的问题可以在经典逻辑中得到解决;三是有些三值逻辑系统的建立并不能解决其想解决的问题。蒯因所批评的仅是三值逻辑中违反排中律的部分系统,而非全部,这体现了蒯因关于逻辑真之观念。
Quine takes a strongly critic attitude towards three -valued logic, which is an important branch of non -classical logical sys- tems. This paper will reflect on Quineg animadversions and attributes them to three kinds. Firstly, Quine believes that some systems of three - valued logics are based on erroneous tmderstandings of logical truth ; Secondly, some issues of them can be solved by classical logical theory, finally some systems of three - valued logics cant solve the issues they originally want to. This paper argues that Quine criticizes only the parts of three- valued logics which violate the Law of Excluded Middle, and Quineg animadversions on them reveal his concept of logical truth.
