张綖的《诗余图谱》是词由音律向格律转变的定型之作,其中一个重要标志便是其对于词调的探讨。该书不仅首创了词调三分法,而且对同调异名和一调多体等问题皆有开拓之功,为后人的进一步研究打下了坚实的基础。

Zhang Yan＇s Shiyu Tupu is the stereotyped works which shows that Ci-poetry started to depend on metrical（closely related to poetry） instead of temperament（closely related to music）.One important symbol is his exploration on the tune of ci-poetry.He was not only the first one that divided the tune of Ci-poetry into three types,but also a research pioneer doing on issues such as＂one tune but different names＂and＂one tune but different styles＂.What Zhangyan did laid a solid foundation for further study of future generationgs.
