1921年《小说月报》以全新的内容和形式向旧文学宣战,它像一道巨大的分水岭将文学的"新"与"旧"截然分开。但是在中外文化碰撞交汇下,新文学创作者不能立刻摒弃旧有的文学观念,并因概念不清而对小说文体产生认识上的混乱。
