摘要
本文简要地回顾了一个世纪来中国外语教学所走过的历程 ,归纳了目前外语教学中存在的两个主要问题 ,从宏观和微观两个方面就此展开了讨论 ,分析了问题的症结所在 ;批评了部分人对外语教学采取十足的实用主义态度 ,即对其进行纯经济学式的成本核算、而忽略其本身固有的开启学生心智的重要价值 ;指出外语教育界目前应克服急功近利的浮躁心态 ,正确对待并处理好外语教学中“实”与“虚”的关系。
The present paper recounts the history of FLT in China in the past century.Two major problems in FLT in China are identified,discussed and analyzed.It is quite critical of the pure pragmatic attitude toward FLT held by some people who have focused their attention on the economic calculation alone,neglecting the intrinsic cultural and academic value of FLT.
