Many difficulties are caused in road construction of open pit mine under complex climate conditions. By analyzing the difficulties in road construction of Ramu Ni-Co Laterite Mine in Papua New Guinea, a country in South Pacific, some experiences in the road construction of open pit mine under complex climate conditions are sum- marized and several suggestions are given. These experiences could ensure the road construction of open pit mine un- der complex climate condition to be carried out smoothly.
