The Strategy of Urban Design under the Lingnan Region

地域性是一个城市在自然环境和在历史条件发展时期形成的有别于其他城市的显著特征。在快速城市化的过程中,城市的地域性没有得到应有的重视,城市发展千篇一律。本文从城市设计的地域性出发,探讨地域性城市设计及其未来发展方向,以期望快速城市化过程中,在城市设计的过程中能够更好地体现地域特色,并且能够为当地居民创造适于地方生活方式的生活环境。

Regionalism is a distinguishing feature that differs from other cities through natural environment and historical development period. The regionalism of city has not been paid much attention, which causes sameness of city development during rapid urbanization. This paper starts from urban regionalism, explores design and future development, hoping to have a better design during urbanization and providing a better living environment for citizens.
