As two literary works, The Stranger and The Redundant Person were created in different times, nations. The disparate political background and social contradictions gestated the dissimilar inner struggle and agitation of the two people. But as the patients of the century disease, they have so much in common. This paper attempts to compare the two people from a philosophical perspective by analyzing their absurdity, resistance against the environment and metaphysical happiness. It was also significant to explore the spiritual values of the modern people inspired by the spirit experiences of the century disease patients on their way of seeking the lost ego,
