目的论对经济新闻导语汉英翻译的启示

The Revelation from Skopos Theory to C-E Translation of Economic News Lead

汉斯.弗米尔在20世纪70年代提出的目的论(Skopos Theory)摆脱了以原语为中心等值论的束缚,强调译文的预期功能或目的决定翻译方法,从而为翻译提供了崭新的视角。在经济新闻导语的汉英翻译时,译者应该以目的论为理论依据,根据英译导语的功能择取恰当的翻译方法(直译、添加或删减以及改译等),充分考虑英语新闻导语的写作规范及译语读者的知识背景、阅读习惯等因素,以便有效地传播信息。

The skopos theory, proposed by Hans Vermeer in 1970s, gets rid of the constraints of the conventional equivalence, emphasizes that the translation methods should be selected according to the expected aims or functions of the target text, and provides translation with a completely new perspective. When translating the economic news leads from Chinese to English, the translator should fully consider the following factors ： the writing rules of the English news leads, the background and reading habits of English readers and choose the proper translation methods （literal translation, addition or deletion, adaptation and so on） based on the skopos theory, to spread the information more effectively.
