Tibouchina granulosa is native to South America with various cultivars widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions over the world. Tibouchina granulosa has colorful petals, which tremendously adds gorgeous spectacular scenery to the urban landscape at flowering time. In this paper, the biological features of Tibouchina granulosa in Guangzhou were described after its introduction from its origin. The key points for cultivation techniques were summarized so as to achieve full blooming of Tibouchina granulosa in cultivation.
