本文从世纪之交我国发展高等职业教育的紧迫性和重要性的情况出发 ,分析了当前高等职业教育发展的机遇和困难 ,提出了切实将全面推进素质教育落实到人才培养的全过程中 ,立足新世纪的战略高度不断提高办学实力和效益、进一步深化教学改革 ,以改革促发展 ,办出特色 。

This paper views the development of higher vocational education in China as the pressing issue of the day,examines the opportunities and difficulties facing its growth and proposes measures for its implementaion,including an all round qualityoriented education throughout the course to turn out talented people,enhanced strengths and efficiency in school administration as a strategic necessity,and further educational reform as a momenturn for distinguished features and better educational quality of the vocational colleges.
