Low precision and contact type level measurement instrument cannot satisfy the demand of the development of oil tanks, especially the petroleum gas tanks, along with the progress of the petrochemical industry. In this situation, the SAAB radar liquidometer, produced by ROSEMOUNT company will be used for measuring the parameters of liquid level and so on for oil tanks. The structure, principle and parameter settings of RTG3960 level gauge, which is widely used in the petrochemical industry for its high integrated in automation, high accuracy, high reliability etc and its good behavior in economic and social benefits, are introduced in this article.
