On the Origin,Evolution and Feature of Parental Educational Rights

一、古代社会:亲权是父亲对子女的绝对支配权力在英文里,家庭(family)一词的原始意义,并不是亲属或共同祖先,而是表明权力与财产的主奴关系。famel一词原为“奴隶”,familia是指对人的所有权,而父亲(pater)一词的原意是统治者和主人。在西方,家庭从一产生,就存在权力与支配的关系。在汉语中,“家”,居也。

Parental educational rights refer to parents' power to decide, to govern, to manage what should be for educating their children. In modrn society, parental educational rights should be confirmed and protected legally; on the other hand, parents' actual power depends on their own economic and social status. When public education is operated, or educational policy made, parental educational rights and powers should be reviewed.
