TIhe first quarter financial results for Hewlett Packard （HP） look rather shabby： its net revenue was down 7%year on year, and the net profits decreased by 44%. In China, HP＇s market share in 2011 was only 5%. In order to stabilize the company, new CEO Meg Whitman plans torestore it as a hardware leader. Soon after assuming office, Whitman announced to launch a new series of tablet computers based on the Windows 8 operating system.
