摘要
创建一个生动活泼的大学英语课堂,离不开课堂交际活动。本次研究调查了非英语专业学生的课堂交际意愿,发现学生的交际意愿明显低于英语国家的法语学习者。交际意愿的强弱与学生的实际语言水平没有明显关系,但是与学生对自己的语言能力是否有信心显著相关。另外,课堂交际意愿还受到学习动机、文化性格、课堂组织等因素的影响。教师应该从帮助学生了解学习策略,克服不利文化性格,科学组织课堂活动,以及注重过程性评估等几个方面入手,让学生在文化、情感、认知上更好地为英语学习做好准备。
Communicative activities are necessary to create an active teaching atmosphere. This paper aims to study Chinese non-English-majors' WTC in the classroom by analyzing the data collected from the questionnaire and interview with the students. The results show that Chinese students' WTC is comparatively low and that the correlation between their WTC and their English language proficiency is not statistically significant, but the correlation between their WTC and their self-estimated English language proficiency is. By analyzing the interview transcriptions, 6 factors affecting WTC are recognized. To arouse students' WTC, teachers should make them aware of the importance of learning strategies and cultural differences, improve classroom organization and lay emphasis on formative assessment.
