The myth of"Eternal Water" passed on by the Altaic nationalities like Mongolian and Kazak and recorded in the Mongolian Sulharnai yin tuuji, has much in common with that of the Japanese, and there are also similarities between the myth motif of "Eternal Water"of Altaie nationalities and Japanese and that of the origin of Death legend of some African nationalities. This paper concludes that the above similarities result from either cultural dissemination or parallel development.
