记忆与历史理解

摘要在20世纪后半叶西方史学的多种转向中，“记忆转向”是其中之一，它不仅对当下的史学方法产生了很大影响，也深刻改变了人们对历史的理解和认知。记忆研究在学术界的兴起由来以久，心理学家弗洛伊德、哲学家柏格森以及社会学家哈布瓦赫都对此作出了重要贡献，而将记忆与历史紧密结合在一起的则是法国年鉴学派的历史学家。布洛赫和费弗尔所开创的心态史模式为记忆史的研究提供了可能，皮埃尔·诺拉主编的《记忆的场所》一书的问世，推动了“记忆转向”的全面展开。在美国历史学界，记忆研究呈现出不同态势，以索尔·弗里德兰德和多米尼克·拉卡普拉为代表的学者，关注更多的是记忆的真实性与客观性以及由此引发的历史诠释、历史叙述和历史解释等问题。为了使国内学界对“历史与记忆”这一问题有一个较全面的认识，我们特邀国内外几位学者对记忆史的理论、研究方式、它所引发的歧义以及法国记忆史研究的一个案例进行了笔谈。
