基于元数据的高校机构知识库建设研究——以北京科技大学机构知识库为例

Research of Constructing Institutional Repository in University Based on Metadata:Taking IR of University of Science and Technology Beijing as an Example

针对目前机构库建设存在的资源获取与可持续发展等问题,北京科技大学图书馆积极探索新的途径和方法,利用自编程序将各个数据库的题录数据转换为规范的元数据格式,然后批量提交,既提高了效率也满足了各个部门对字段的要求;通过与校人事处和科研处的合作,保证了机构库每年的数据能够及时更新,解决了机构库的可持续发展问题。

To deal with the problems of resources access and sustainable development in the process of constructing institutional repository, the library of University of Science and Technology Beijing（USTB） explores new methods. We transform from bibliographic data to standardized metadata formats of databas- es, and then import them into DSpace in batches. This method not only improves the efficiency, but also meets the requirements of various departments. By the cooperation with the personnel department and of- fice of science research, the library ensures that the institutional repository can update the data each year, addressing the issue of sustainable development of institutional repository.
