Based on Schemata Theory in the cognitive language studies, this paper, taking Steve Jobs＇ speech at Stanford University for example, discusses the effects of the Schemata Theory on the teaching of the course of ＂ Viewing, Listening＆Speaking＂ from three different aspects： linguistic, formal and content schemata. The paper aims to explore certain strategies for improving the students＇ speaking ability and listening comprehension by activating and enriching their schemata.
