Deciphering the Sport Marks on the Bamboo and Wooden Slips Unearthed from Gansu

对甘肃出土的简牍系统地查阅和整理,在此基础上对简牍中的体育符号所表达的象征意义与先民创造的体育活动的特征做了深入具体的分析和探讨。将汉简这一新材料与旧文献相印证,尽量寻求新材料所能提供的各种与体育相关的可能性解释,为研究我国西北边陲汉代社会的体育、养生、娱乐等提供新的信息和思路。

On the basis of a systematic investigation and sorting-out of the bamboo and wooden slips unearthed from Gansu, this paper analyzes and discusses the symbolic meaning of sport marks on the slips as well as the characteristics of the sport games created in ancient times. Combining the newly found bamboo and wooden slips with other documents, it aims to explore all possible interpretations of ancient sports and provide new information and clues for studying the sports, health preservation, and entertainment in the northwestern regions of the Han dynasty
