Academic is the soul of the university, and academic nature is the essential attribute of the university. The existence of the university provides organizational protection for academic development and its connotation extension; scholars in the university are the leaders of academic development and the founders of academic honor. The real university should possess the character of worshiping academic value, follow the survival logic of taking academic development as its axis, advocate academic freedom, enhance academic innovation, strengthen academic power, and ensure the scholars＇ value pursuit of taking academic as their calling, which makes the university realize its sustainable self-transcendence through its active adaption to society and participation in the promotion of social development.
