Quantitative measurement of ventricular wall mass by two-dimensional echocardiography

目的 评价二维超声对左室心肌质量、右室心肌质量及双室心肌质量的测定准确性。方法 在 16个离体猪心中 ,应用二维超声测量左室壁、右室壁及双室壁容积并计算其质量。结果 左室壁、双室壁质量与实测值高度相关 (r=0 92 ,P <0 0 0 0 1;r=0 86,P <0 0 0 0 1) ,而右室壁质量与实测值无相关 (r =0 0 2 3 ,P >0 0 5 )。结论 二维超声以其简单、方便特点 ,在临床上适用于对左室壁、双室壁质量估测 ,而不适用于右室壁。

Objective To evaluate the accuracy of two-dimensional echocardiography in the quantitative measurement of left ventricular (LV) wall mass, right ventricular (RV) wall mass and double ventricular (DV) wall mass.Method Two-dimensional echocardiography was used to measure the volume of LV wall, RV wall and DV wall and their mass was calculated.Results There was correlation between LV wall mass, or DV wall mass and their actual mass ( r=0.92, P<0.000 1; r=0.86, P<0.000 1 ). There was no correlation between RV wall mass and actual mass ( r=0.023, P>0.05 ). Conclusion Because of its simplicity and convenience, the two-dimensional echocardiography is applicable to the clinical measurement of LV and DV wall mass, but not applicable to RV.
