This article introduces the function of transmission sliding synchronizer,tells the performance deficiencies of the transmission sliding-block type single cone synchronizer from 3rd to 2nd reduction gear, and ex- pounds the design main basis of transmission sliding-block type double cone synchronizer as well as the needing at- tention of transmission block type synchronizer design matters. The article also describes the related tests which have been done of double and single cone synchronizer performance and life expectancy, analyses the weakness of slid- ing-block type single cone synchronizer on performance test bench, and tests the related contrast effect examination both of bench test and road. The transmission sliding-block type double cone synchronizer is also introduced.
