Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is a common genetic cardiovascular disease. In 2011 the first guidelines presented by the A- merican College of Cardiology Foundation and the American Heart Association about hypertrophic cardiomyopathy were released. This article interprets the clinical definition, diagnostic technology, clinical course, and treatment methods of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy as outlined by the new guidelines.
