极小胚胎样干细胞是一种非造血干细胞,具有类似胚胎干细胞的生物学特性。近些年对其移植治疗心肌梗死研究较多,因其较以往所研究的骨髓基质干细胞移植治疗心肌梗死有很多优势,因此对极小胚胎样干细胞移植治疗心肌梗死的研究已成为心血管病领域的一大热点。

Very small embryonic-like stem cells （ VSEL-SCs } are a kind of non-hematopoietic stem cell that has similar biological characteristics to embryonic stem cells. In recent research VSEL-SCs have been transplanted for the treatment of myocardial infarction. The use of VSEL-SCs has several advantages over the traditional use of the mesenchymal stem cells, which has made it a point of interest in the cardiovascular disease field.
