摘要 英语阅读能力是英语学习者英语综合能力的重要组成部分之一,培养高水平的阅读能力对增强就业竞争力意义重大。应用Halliday语言学理论而形成的功能语篇分析理论是指导英语阅读的新路向。文章通过对所选新闻语篇进行及物性分析,以验证将经验功能理论运用于新闻语篇分析的可操作性,同时探讨了语篇中及物性过程对语篇建构的作用及对英语阅读教学的指导意义。 English reading is very important to English learning, and functional discourse analysis is identified as a new approach to guiding English reading. Analyzing the text from China Daily, the paper attempts to test out the feasibility of application of the theory of transitivity to the study of news discourse, what's more, to practice the application of functional grammar to English reading and show a new way of improving the ability of English reading in China.
