The Beliefs'World of the Contemporary Chinese Urban Youth Christian

通过对上海基督教两堂的调查发现:当代中国都市青年基督徒这一信仰群体,在身份上表现出"移民"、"高知"和"白领"的特点;他们对基督教教义的理解比较正统,在信仰倾向上,体现出保守性和"福音派"的特点。当代都市青年基督徒的基本精神状况比较健康,并对基督教的发展前景表现乐观,这体现了他们对宗教信仰自由政策的认可,以及对基督教能与社会主义社会相适应的积极态度。

This paper is to investigate the beliefs＂ world of the contemporary Chinese urban youth Christian through the questionnaires, which contents include the core layer of individual beliefs, the knowledge level, the behavioral and psychological level etc. The study found that the identities of the contemporary urban youth Christian are ＂immigrants＂, ＂high knowledge＂ and ＂white collar＂. They have a more orthodox understanding on the Christian doctrine, which reflects the ＂evangelical＂ character in faith tendency. The urban youth Christian, who have a good mental state, are optimistic about the prospects for the development of Christianity in China, which reflects their positive attitude on the adaption of Christianity with the socialist society.
