就老年期痴呆精神行为障碍的中医治疗 ,强调辨证审因论治。如激越狂躁 ,为痰火扰神所致 ,治以清心泻火涤痰 ;妄言幻觉 ,为瘀阻脑窍所致 ,治以通窍活血祛瘀 ;惊恐胆怯 ,乃神失所养导致 ,治以益气补血复神。

The treament is stressed to be given upon differential diagnosis and exploration of the causative factors in treatment of psychic and behavior disorder due to senile dementia by Chinese medicine.Mania is caused by phlegm fire disturbing the spirit and should be treated by clearing away heart fire and removing phlegm.Ravings and hallucination are caused by obstruction of stagnation in the brain and should be treated by dredging the brain aperture and activating blood and expelling stagnation.Fright and timidness are caused by failure of nourishment in the spirit and should be treated by enriching qi and blood and restoring the spirit.
